Tom West joined the Breakwater Mortgage team in 2006. Prior to this, he was one of the partners in A & R Diversified Landscape Services Inc, the largest commercial landscaping company in Tidewater, Virginia. As the Vice President of Sales his responsibilities included customer service, management, and oversight of budgets and personnel. Tom serviced large commercial and government accounts. Previous to his ownership and leadership with A & R, Tom was employed with Southland Corporation as a Regional Supervisor.

Tom believes in the highest ethics in the mortgage transaction. He questions his clients about their needs and their financial situation and places them in the best loan products to meet their financial goals.

Tom's father, Thomas F. West, served our country as a full Colonel in the U.S. Air Force for 27 years, and is now retired.

Tom lives in Virginia Beach. He has a son who is attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He also has a teenage daughter in high school. His hobbies are golf, snow skiing and offshore fishing.
